Clovelly, situated between the popular holiday villages of Fish Hoek and Kalk Bay, is one of the busiest and most popular golf courses in the Cape Town area. The narrow, charming course meanders along a pleasant, wooded valley and the 18th hole at Clovelly plays uphill to the clubhouse. There are putting greens. Perched high above the course, the clubhouse offers beautiful views from its verandah of some of the tees and fairways. It incorporates a full bar, restaurant, halfway house and Pro Shop. Metropolitan Golf Club (founded in 1895)

Situated between the V&A Waterfront and the Green Point Stadium, the course is close to the city centre and offers superb views of Table Bay and Table Mountain. Manicured to perfection, this well-designed course offers 18 tees and several alternative greens. In 2003 the magazine Golf Digest ranked it among the 100 greatest 9-hole golf courses in the country. A driving range is located on the opposite side of the road and there are putting and chipping greens. The small clubhouse incorporates a bar, halfway house and Pro Shop. Visitors are welcome, but Saturdays are reserved for members. Caddies, golf carts, trolleys and clubs are available for hire.

A championship layout on fairly flat terrain, tree-lined fairways and interesting water features, make Mowbray a åmust playπ. The 15th hole offers a spectacular view of Devilπs peak. There are putting greens on site and breakfasts and luncheons are available seven days a week. The superb clubhouse incorporates a bar, restaurant, Pro Shop and a well-stocked halfway house. Royal Cape, one of the oldest glof courses in South Africa, remains one of its best. It is situated near the Kenilworth Racecourse in Wynberg/Ottery and has a classic parkland layout.
